Paid Search Assistant Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled, and experienced Senior Paid Search/ Paid Search Assistant Manager, looking to join a fast paced, high growth Online Retailer.

We are looking for dynamic, engaging and passionate Senior Paid Search/ Paid Search Assistant Manager, someone expert in detail of data and campaign strategy 

The Senior Paid Search/ Paid Search Assistant Manager will drive the construction, development and deployment of effective campaigns to drive traffic and conversions through all customer channels to all customer segments. You will be tasked with supercharging our ROAS through continual management and optimsation whilst reporting performance daily, weekly and monthly.

The Senior PPC/ PPC Assistant Manager needs extensive experience of paid search customer acquisition and working with ROAS and attribution measures.

Our client offers excellent working conditions, initially will require remote working and be comfortable with team meetings via video calls etc, although remote you will need to be in comfortable commuting distance for team/company meetings as time goes on.

Key skills and experience:

  • Managing and implementing successful search engine paid campaigns using PPC and PLA activity to maximise the delivery of high quality site traffic

  • Working effectively to agreed benchmarks & KPIs and CPA’s to ensure that all activity has positive ROI & ROAS

  • Produce clear daily/weekly/monthly reports using data/visuals to provide compelling insights and action orientated recommendations.Activate daily maintenance and monitoring of campaigns to improve overall account performance 

  • Experience working with an agency but with a hands-on account approach, articulate and brief the campaign strategies to the internal team and agency partners. Ensure alignment on the goals and provide guidance throughout the planning process.

  • Optimising campaigns using a combination of automated strategies and data driven amendments to improve revenue and ROAS.You need to be able to demonstrate how you approach and continually devise optimisation activity for each campaign, group and keyword.

  • Liaising with the content/ecommerce team to optimise landing pages for optimum quality scores and onsite performance optimisation.

  • Competitor research to develop detailed analysis of market share and help devise tactical bidding responses accordingly

  • Deliver insights using Google Analytics and detailed reports from a variety of data sources to build business cases and change programs and turn data into actions

  • Conducting experiments to produce data driven results with the goal to improve CPA’s

  • Reporting & optimization will be critical to this role – to ensure ongoing improvement across all marketing campaigns and processes.ROI must be foremost in your thinking to drive and maximize returns from all activity.

  • Produce and deliver forecast plans by campaign on an annual basis across your channels and deliver the commercial targets.You must have the ability to implement those plans operationally.

  • Understand how we can leverage customer profiling and understanding to improve segmentation within our marketing campaigns and drive effectiveness and improved ROI.

  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ solid paid search experience in Google Ads/Bing Ads PPC 

  • Previous background of working with significant paid search budgets 

  • Highly motivated, confident, professional, ambitious and a positive attitude, Strong analytical, presenting and reporting skills

  • Google Adwords Certified professional and a Google Analytics qualified individual 

  • Degree educated and/or strong paid search experience with good business acumen If you have a strong background within paid search and excited by the prospect of join the fastest growing brand in the sector

  • You have clear forecast and budget responsibility and need to maximize the use of our paid marketing budget.

  • Working with operations, brand, product and digital team to devise copy and innovative marketing campaigns in line with the overall marketing efforts and develop the brand and its core values.

  • We measure conversion at 2 levels income generation and sample conversion and you will need to clearly understand the relationship of both in all or our advertising activity.It’s important to have a clear understanding of attribution and the impact the different interactions have on the final conversion.

  • Excellent project management skills coupled with a teamwork focus to support colleagues (i.e. Digital team, product marketing, sales team, developers) to ensure the smooth running of all elements of the site and our marketing effort.Key relationship holder with suppliers and agencies.

  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
